Gulf Air resumes flights to Kuwait
Gulf Air, the national airline of Bahrain, Oman and the United Arab Emirates (UAE), announced Saturday, March 22, that it would resume operations to Kuwait beginning with a once-daily service tomorrow in line with its usual morning schedule. A $25 insurance surcharge (or equivalent) will be payable in cash on departure.
At this stage, based on confirmation from Kuwait Civil Aviation Authorities that the airport will remain open and working within civil aviation approved corridors, the temporary schedule, which is effective from Sunday, 23 March to Friday, 28 March, is as follows: Flight number GF211 from Bahrain to Kuwait will depart 08:20 and arrive 09:25; Flight number GF212 from Kuwait to Bahrain will depart 10:15 and arrive 11:15.
“Our crisis management team has been monitoring the situation around the clock, and based on advice from local airport and civil aviation authorities, we believe it is appropriate to recommence flights,” said Captain Hameed Ali, vice president of Operations at Gulf Air.
“Subject to our being able to ensure the safety of our passengers and crew, and continuous review of the situation, we hope to be able to resume a full, normal schedule as soon as possible.” — (menareport.com)
