Hilton HHonors named Middle East's most successful loyalty program
The Hilton HHonors Loyalty Program has been named the Middle East's most successful hotel loyalty program by the UK-based Business Development Research Consultants (BDRC), while membership from the region has grown by a 170 percent in less than two years.
The independent research survey conducted in the region last year revealed that Hilton HHonors has the highest number of members out of 17 international hotel loyalty programs, with five percent of all business travelers surveyed holding Hilton HHonors membership.
Since the opening of our dedicated marketing and service center in Dubai in April 2001, the number of Middle East members has risen by a staggering 170 percent, from 35,000 to currently over 95,000, according to a company press release.
Over 400 business travelers were interviewed from Egypt, Jordan, Kuwait, Oman, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates (UAE). Competitive hotel loyalty programs ranked at approximately three percent, while only 26 percent of all business travelers acknowledged to holding hotel loyalty membership of any kind.
The Hilton HHonors Loyalty Programme has been in operation since 1987 and now has over 10.5 million members worldwide. Hilton HHonors partner airlines include Emirates Airline, Qatar Airways, Saudi Arabian Airlines, Gulf Air, Kuwait Airways, British Airways, KLM and Lufthansa.
Hilton International currently operates 31 hotels in the Middle East: 17 hotels in Egypt, eight hotels in the UAE, three in Saudi Arabia and one each in Bahrain, Oman and Kuwait. Hilton Hotels Corporation and Hilton International, a subsidiary of Hilton Group plc, have a worldwide alliance to market Hilton. Collectively offering over 2,400 hotels in more than 65 countries worldwide, both companies are recognized as leaders in the hospitality industry. — (menareport.com)
