HP leads tablet PC market in Middle East and Africa
HP has confirmed its leadership in the Tablet PC market in the Middle East and Africa. Results are based on the release of Canalys figures for the first quarter of 2003
HP’s Tablet PC TC1000 captured a 61 percent of the region’s market share. Lagging behind was the next competitor at 33.6 percent market share. Europe Middle East and Africa (EMEA) figures for tablet PCs show a 67 percent market share for HP, with closest competitor following at 16 percent.
HP is a provider of products, technologies, solutions and services to consumers and businesses. The company’s offering span IT infrastructure, personal computing and access devices, global services and imaging and printing. HP has been present in the Middle East since 1968, and opened its first regional office in 1994 and has offices in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Cairo, Riyadh, Jeddah and Khobar servicing the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), the Levant and Egypt. — (menareport.com)
