Huawei wins Algeria CDMA network contract
Algeria Telecom (AT), the biggest operator in Algeria, has officially announced that Huawei won the Algeria National CDMA Network contract. Under the contract, Huawei Technologies will provide AT with CDMA network equipment to serve 430 thousand subscribers in the whole country. This is another cooperation with AT after Huawei CDMA was deployed in six eastern provinces in Algeria and CDMA EV DO commercially served Capital Alger. Now Huawei is the biggest CDMA supplier for AT.
Huawei CDMA Network covers 95% of the area in Algeria and all major cities, including the capital, Alger. After about half-a-year of strict reviews and multiple technical estimates, AT selected Huawei Technologies for its capability to provide not only advanced CDMA equipment and end to end solutions, but also quickly-responsive technical support service.
"We are deeply grateful to AT for trusting our company and selecting Huawei again as their strategic partner to build the national CDMA network." said Mr. Shen Jinyang, CEO, Huawei Technologies Regional Division in the Middle East & North Africa (MENA). "Huawei will surely fulfill its commitment to AT by providing quality products and services, and expect a long-term strategic partnership with AT." Currently, Huawei's CDMA products have been deployed in more than 50 countries by over 70 carriers, including developed markets of Portugal and the United States, and have been serving 17 million users across the globe. With its rapid growth in the CDMA field, Huawei Technologies has become one of the major CDMA suppliers in the world.
