IBM Launches new Initiative for partners in Global Midmarket Business
IBM’s Software Group, together with its partner GBM, is holding a one-day ‘Business Partner Kick Off Event’ for its regional software business partners in Dubai, stated a press release.
The event focuses is on enhancing its reseller environment with the skills and expertise to bring modern software technology to bear on the business problems of their customers. As an incentive to their partners, IBM launched the Top Contributor Initiative (TCI) to reward partners that most effectively serve this market.
"IBM recognizes the pressing need amongst businesses for e-business solutions and services that immediately address their business issues. Many organizations struggle with shrink-wrapped software bundles that do not integrate with their business systems, and do not create any real value or savings,” said BJ van DeWater, Manager of Distribution Channel Management, Software Group IBM Central and Eastern Europe, Middle East and Africa.
“We are investing in the technical and marketing skills of our resellers to ensure that they can provide customers with solutions that provide a real and measurable Return on Investment.”
Along with partner education programs, the IBM Top Contributor Initiative is designed for value-added resellers in the Middle East, bringing together three IBM Business Partner offerings: co-marketing funds, bonus incentives and the ‘Now You’ incentive, all designed to help partners actively approach and service the marketplace, as well as reward them for their selling efforts.
The initiative will provide IBM’s TCI software resellers with marketing co-funding to increase sales, grow market share, penetrate new markets and expand their business with IBM software technologies. The partners will also benefit from performance bonuses, where they set goals and IBM will reward them for achieving or exceeding these targets.
