Libya financing infrastructure projects in Niger
As part of its pro-African strategy, Libya has agreed to finance three projects, worth more than nine million dollars, in Niger, reported the PANA news agency. The projects involve the drilling of boreholes, the construction of roads and renovation of airport runways.
The Niger government daily, Le Sahel, added that the first project involves drilling of 10 boreholes in the northern Irhazer region. The second involves a partial tarring the Agadez-Zinder road, located 950 kilometers north of the capital Niamey. The third concerns reinforcement of roadways and extension of the landing runway at Mano Dayak airport in Agadez. ― (MENA Report)
