Precedent already set the other way in the 70s when a bank lent a Nigerian money for a brewery with out looking into it, can't remember case name offhand but judge dismissed on grounds anyone who had behaved as stupidly as the bank had deserved what happened

Any naivety of the client is made largely irrelevant when they pay outside experts for their expert advice. Goldman lost their client 1 billion by grossly underestimating risk, and they profited doing it.
