Mobile phone bills slashed in Syria
Mobile telephone subscriptions will be slashed by two-thirds in Syria from March 1, dropping from 60,000 Syrian pounds ($1,200) to 20,000 pounds, the Syrian Telecommunications Establishment (STE) announced Thursday, February 15.
A permanent mobile phone network coming on line April 15 will replace the current experimental network set up in February last year. — (AFP, Riyadh)
