MTC-Vodafone Kuwait starts using Redknee solution for new services
Redknee Inc., the leading global provider of communication software to wireless telecommunication network operators, on Monday announced MTC-Vodafone Kuwait launched Redknee’s high-performance SynaxisTM Enhanced Messaging Gateway (EMG) solution to enable rating and charging of international text messaging and premium SMS content. Using Redknee’s solution, MTC-Vodafone now offers roaming, short messaging and premium SMS content to its subscribers.
“This service enables MTC-Vodafone prepaid customers to send text messages while roaming abroad, and to select premium content from our SMS service providers,” said MTC Director General Dr Saad Al Barrak. "We chose Redknee’s messaging solution because it is the most comprehensive, end-to-end solution available to complement and protect our existing network and infrastructure investments.”
With the Redknee SynaxisTM Enhanced Messaging Gateway, MTC can provide flexible, subscriber-friendly tariff plans including special time-based promotions and bundles of messages. The EMG provides real-time billing for mobile originated and terminated traffic, premium content charging, advanced barring features, and traffic management capabilities. Today, over 30 million subscribers worldwide use Redknee messaging products.
“Redknee is delighted to work with MTC-Vodafone to enable advanced, market-leading services for its subscribers,” said Chris Newton-Smith, Redknee VP Global Sales. “With the Redknee solution, MTC-Vodafone will broaden its prepaid SMS offerings, and also be in a strong position to support the ongoing evolution of its services portfolio delivering content-driven, high-value messaging services.” (menareport.com)
