New water systems built in Iraq
The director general of the Iraqi Industries Public Company, Jamal Mukhtar, revealed in a report by Al-Iktisadiya magazine that the company’s technical and engineering subsidiaries will produce 220 spray irrigation systems over the next three months. According to Mukhtar, these subsidiaries will also manufacture additional mobile and fixed irrigation systems during this period.
An additional irrigation project in Iraq is currently being carried out by the Al-Nasr Company, which has been constructing a large water treatment facility in the Dhee Qar district. The general director of the company, Jabar Hassan, has stated that 31 waterways have been dug as part of this plan to supply drinking water to 55 local villages in the area. He added, that 90 machines have been utilized in this project, aimed at assuring the supply of adequate drinking water throughout the district. — (Albawaba-MEBG)
