Abu Dhabi University celebrates international day
Abu Dhabi University recently celebrated its 3rd Annual International Day on both Abu Dhabi and Al Ain campuses, during which over 400 faculty and staff members representing 15 different nations, enjoyed an ambiance of cultural diversity that was presented through cultural cuisine and folkloric performances.
Commenting on the significance of this annual event, Dr. Terry Motiuk Vice Chancellor of Abu Dhabi University said: “The Annual International day gives us a great opportunity to educate one another in a fun environment on globalization and its impact; and reinforce in one another the spirit of cooperation and celebration of differences that overcomes biological, tribal, racial and ethnic boundaries. It is also a great platform for staff and faculty to meet with their colleagues and peers, dialogue and experience samples from other cultures. We pride ourselves on being a multicultural institution, and this event allows us to celebrate and embrace our diversity. It also helps us sets an example for students to follow”.
