ALHOSN University, a leading Abu Dhabi-based university dedicated to high-quality, value-based education, presented its comprehensive lineup of academic programs to high school students during the 3 days of the 2nd Universities Forum which took place from February 14 to 16, 2012 at the Waset Youth Center in Al Sweihat, Sharjah.
Organized by the Youth Centers Department of the Supreme Council for Family Affairs, Sharjah, under the theme ‘My Future … My Choice,’ the Forum gathered students from across the UAE to introduce them to colleges and universities that could best meet their educational and academic aspirations. In his address during the event, H.H. Dr. Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Ruler of Sharjah and Member of the UAE Supreme Council, urged students to avoid settling for lower levels of education.
ALHOSN University representatives joined various student awareness seminars that touched on several subjects such as planning for the future, setting goals, managing time, and choosing the right major. The University paid tribute to H.H. Dr. Sheikh Al Qasimi’s advice to ‘not settle for low-quality education’ by emphasizing ALHOSN’s philosophy of ‘Global Knowledge with Local Vision’ during interactions and meetings with students at a special pavilion allocated for the university.
“The Universities Forum is one of the UAE’s top educational events so we feel privileged to have been invited. We share H.H. Dr. Sheikh Al Qasimi’s belief that this country’s youths are entitled to the best education and so we took the opportunity to help students decide on the career path that can fulfill their personal and professional goals and inform them of how ALHOSN University can be part of their growth. We are very pleased with the positive response to our offerings and look forward to seeing many of the attendees joining the ALHOSN family,” said Prof. Abdul Rahim Sabouni, Vice Chancellor and CEO, ALHOSN University.
Named after Abu Dhabi’s historic ALHOSN Palace, ALHOSN University was founded in 2005 by the Abu Dhabi Holding Company in response to growing local demand for high-quality, value-based educational institutions.
