Mohammed Ashraff, a staff member at ALHOSN University, a leading Abu Dhabi-based university dedicated to high-quality, value-based education, joined 30 other prominent UAE Nationals and skilled workers in receiving special awards from the UAE Ministry of Labor during the International Worker’s Day celebrations on May 1, 2012.
Held at the Armed Forces Officers Club in Abu Dhabi, the awards ceremony was attended by officials and representatives of various UAE ministries and authorities. H.H. Saqr Ghobash, UAE Minister of Labor, commended Mohammed Ashraff, a Storage Executive at ALHOSN University, for his loyalty, dedication and vital contributions towards work efficiency.
During the event, the Ministry also unveiled its Mobile Care Unit for workers. The unit will visit worker sites and labor camps to receive workers’ suggestions and concerns, enlighten employees on key areas such as contractual work, and ensure that workers benefit from their rights.
“We are proud of Mohammed Ashraff’s achievement and are committed to bringing in and retaining members of the ALHOSN community who are similarly committed to excellence and quality service. We thank the Ministry of Labor for recognizing the exceptional work of one of our family members and hope that it continues to implement similar initiatives that promote workers’ rights, encourage professionalism, and foster social development,” said Prof. Abdul Rahim Sabouni, Vice Chancellor and CEO, ALHOSN University.
