ASUS&NVIDIA Middle East hosted NVIDIA Pascal Geforce GTX1080/GTX1070 & VR event in Dubai on 19th of June 2016, marking its first full decade of premium gaming innovation and market leadership, and unveiling a new line-up of elite gaming gear.
Strix was introduced as the newest recruit to Join the Republic, with ROG Strix GeForce® GTX 1080 and ROG Strix GeForce® GTX 1070 revealed as the first gaming graphics card to carry the ROG Strix branding.
The event provided many different experiences for the attendees such as the opportunity to play the latest games on multiple desktop PC configurations and platforms, such as ROG Geforce GTX laptops and other PCs which were built using ROG STRIX GEFORCE GTX1080, GEFORCE GTX1070Graphic cards to max out the gaming experience. There were 3 ASUS PA279Q monitors connected to Custom built Geforce GTX1080 ASUS PC to Bring the Experience of NVIDIA Surround to a different level of Gaming.
In addition to the different experience zones, during the event ASUS ,NVIDIA and CoolerMaster selected and announced the Geforce Garage Case Mod competition winners by evaluating the participants’ modded PCs which were all themed after sports cars or games. The Prizes were 10,000 AED + Geforce Garage trophy for the First Place, 5,000 AED for 2nd Place and 2,000 AED for the 3rd place.
VR demo areas: NVIDIA, ASUS Middle East and HTC VIVE combined forces to create truly immersive gaming thrills
Visitors to the NVIDIA VR Experience zone experienced how NVIDIA & ROG Geforce GTX graphics card (using NVIDIA VR Works) and HTC a pioneer in innovative smart technologies, showcased its virtual reality suite, HTC Vive.
HTC Vive offered gaming enthusiasts the opportunity to experience NVIDIA VR Funhouse, the first virtual reality experience created by NVIDIA, theBlu: Encounter, Tilt Brush by Google and The Brookhaven Experiment in four unique room-scale gameplay zones.
These 4 experiences were ran on ROG VR Ready desktop PCs which were equipped with Geforce gtx980ti, Geforce GTX1070, 3-way SLI Geforce GTX1080, and GX700 VR-Ready notebook equipped with NVIDIA Geforce GTX980— bringing virtual-reality worlds to life as never before.
These Quad demonstration areas offered a taste of VR today and enticing vision of tomorrow, as ASUS ROG, NVIDIA & HTC all will continue to work closely with the key industry partners to ensure offering
the latest VR technologies and the best VR experience .
