Mr. Sufian Dweik, Regional Director, MEMA at Brocade said, “Brocade has been leading the revolution of networking and data center technologies. In the last year the company has introduced several networking innovations across the globe and the Middle East that are shaping the future of the industry and helping enterprises build reliable, future-proof, cloud-optimized and high performance networking infrastructure with built-in investment protection. Brocade has established itself as a leader in data center Ethernet fabric technology and has a strong advantage of being one of only two companies globally with technologies across all four areas - application networking, virtualization, infrastructure and storage. The awards are recognition of our regional leadership and success and we endeavor to continue to bring innovation to the market.”
Brocade has leveraged its 18-year heritage in data center fabrics to transform Ethernet networks in virtualized and cloud data centers. In December 2010, Brocade introduced its VCS Fabric technology, the first true Ethernet fabric solution in the industry, which is purpose-built to support highly virtualized and cloud-optimized data centers and to date, more than 1,400 customers have deployed these solutions.
Brocade VCS Fabric technology provides unmatched automation, enabling customers to deploy network capacity five times more quickly than with legacy network architectures and competitive fabric offerings. This agility is critical to helping IT organizations and cloud providers deploy new applications and services more quickly than ever before. Brocade VCS Fabric technology also delivers twice the network efficiency and utilization of legacy network architectures through its unique combination of multi-pathing and load balancing capabilities at all layers of the fabric.
The annual CNME ICT Achievement awards and the ACN Arab Technology awards were held during the first two days of Gitex Technology Week 2013 and honoured the Middle East’s technology leaders whose solutions and services have driven standards and increased adoption of cutting edge ICT infrastructure across the region.
