Brocade today announced that it has won the CNME ICT Achievement award 2012 for 'Hardware Vendor of the Year'. The award was accepted by Brocade’s regional director for the MEMA region, Mr. Sufian Dweik, at a ceremony held on the opening day of Gitex Technology Week at Jumeirah Beach hotel, Dubai. The award recognizes the networking vendor's significant contribution in the field of cloud computing and virtualization, and its technological innovations and advancements in the delivery of fabric-based network infrastructure solutions.
“Brocade has established itself as a pioneer and leader in data center ethernet fabric technology and over the past year, the company has introduced several networking innovations that are shaping the future of the networking industry. We are working hard to help our customers embrace our networking vision of unmatched simplicity, non-stop networking, application optimization, and investment protection. We are very proud to receive this award, which we see as recognition of our efforts,” says Mr. Dweik.
The third annual ICT Achievement Awards brought together over three hundred prominent IT industry stakeholders from across the Middle East. With a total of 20 awards being given out at the ceremony, competition was stiff with winners in each category being chosen by a vendor-neutral panel of IT professionals from the Middle East and beyond.
