Al Bustan Centre and Residence, the popular hotel apartment among visiting tourists and businessmen in the heart of Dubai, participated in the 12th Kazakhstan International Travel Fair (KITF), held in Almaty, Kazakhstan, a major tourism forum in Central Asia.
Al Bustan Centre and Residence has been participating in this major exhibition for the last 10 years as Kazakhstan’s travel industry has seen huge growth over the last few years, and in 2009, the country’s inbound tourism grew by 8%, whilst outbound tourism saw a 23% increase - a total of 3,687,000 travellers.
This year’s event saw the largest number of participants from Dubai which shows the importance of the Kazakhstan market in the industry.
Khaled Saab, Director of Sales and Marketing, who represented Al Bustan Centre and Residence at the event said: “Our main aim and objective by participating in KITF Exhibition was to establish new business contacts, learn about new items, maintain existing business contacts, search for tour operators and travel agents, sign purchase contracts for tourist products/services, assess the market opportunities, attend workshops and presentations, learn about competitors’ activities and offer own tourist products/services.”
He met with a lot of tour operators, adding: “The feedback was positive and business is expected to improve in the coming seasons. In fact Air Arabia and Air Astana are already operating to Almaty and there is an ongoing negotiation with Fly Dubai to add this city as one of their flight destinations.”
With the Kazakhstan market growing and moving ahead, Al Bustan Centre and Residence will continue its participation at KITF 2013.
