Canon Middle East, a leader in imaging solutions, today launched a Middle East, North and East Africa wide photo/video competition across 45 countries, inviting families and friends to share their passion for football ahead of UEFA EURO 2012.
The initiative is in line with Canon Europe’s sponsorship of UEFA EURO 2012. In addition, it is part of Canon Middle East’s 10th anniversary celebrations in the MENA region, with the month of May dedicated to the Power of Family and Friendship.
The competition, which is themed ‘Celebrate your passion for football’, offers football fans the opportunity to win a travel package for two to a city of their choice, including flights and accommodation.
Mai Youssef, Corporate Communications Manager, Canon Middle East, said, “We are pleased to launch this Middle East, North and East Africa – wide competition which will serve as a platform for us to share our passion for image, engaging with the Middle East market around the most anticipated football event of the year.
Without a doubt, football is one of the most loved sports across the Middle East, North and East Africa and through this competition we want to inspire people’s creativity and innovation by using the medium of photography and videography.”
The competition will be hosted on Canon’s facebook page and entries could include photos or videos depicting, for example, friends singing fan songs for their favourite football teams or family members dressed in their favourite team’s jerseys.
Canon fans will select the best submissions by ‘liking’ their favourite uploads and the 1st, 2nd and 3rd winners will walk away with exciting travel packages. The competition will close on 31st May.
