Central Trade and Auto Company (CTA), the exclusive dealer for Toyota in the Kingdom recently sponsored the 2012 “Clean up the World” campaign in its 20th edition held last August.
The Campaign, which was organized by Jordan Environment Society (JES), comprised the full clean up of public parks including the Prince Hamzah Bin Al Hussein park in Yajuz.
Nadim Haddad, Marketing Manager at CTA, explained that the company’s sponsorship of this campaign falls in line with its embedded belief in the importance of conserving the environment. He further added that CTA always strives to increase environmental awareness amongst the masses, believing that it is the fastest route to better societies and sound community development for future generations.
Established in 1988, Jordan Environment Society (JES) is the largest Environmental NGO in Jordan. Its main objective is to protect the environment and its basic elements of water, air, soil and wildlife. Through its 11 branches around the country, JES raises public awareness and promotes community action at the local level. By accessing professionals in both the private and public sector, the entity also spearheads the adoption of policies and the application of international environmental standards.
As part of its long term CSR strategy, CTA sponsors and supports several environmental initiatives. These sponsorships fall in line with the great importance Toyota places on environmental conservation, deeming an issue that is of great significance for all generations of the human race.
