Central Trade and Auto Company (CTA), the exclusive dealer for Toyota in the Kingdom, has recently sponsored the upcoming “Toyota Meet” event organized by students of the Petra University in Amman.
“The event held on January 24th 2014, allowed Toyota owners from across the Kingdom to meet and share their experiences with like-minded Toyota fans”, says CTA’sMarketing ManagerMr.Nadim Haddad. “It is this understanding that had inspired us to sponsor this event, as it presents the informal setting ideal for people to learn first-hand about the unique driving experience Toyota has to offer.”
Hosted at the Petra University parking from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm, the “Toyota Meet” brought together 500 spectators including 123 Toyota owners from across the Kingdom. Event highlights included a showcase of the Toyota 86, a drive simulation contest, prizes, offers on Toyota models, in addition to a free check up voucher for all participating cars, and free maintenance vouchers for the top 3 tuned cars.
The featured flagship Toyota 86 is a series of sports coupés jointly developed by Japanese automobile manufacturers Toyota and Subaru. The model features a boxer engine, front-engine, rear-wheel-drive layout and 2+2 seating. The Toyota 86 is also known to be the spiritual successor to the AE86 by Toyota, boasting a heritage tracing back to the Toyota 2000GT, the front engine, rear-drive sports car with a 2.0 liter engine, as well as the Toyota Sports 800; Toyota's first sports car.
“On this occasion, we thank the students of Petra University for organizing this event, which we see becoming an annual fixture in our event calendar,” said Mr. Haddad.
