Dalma Mall, one of the most preferred shopping, retail and entertainment destinations in Mussafah – Abu Dhabi, received the visually-impaired members from Zayed Higher Organization for Humanitarian Care and Special Needs and its Braille Printing Press to coincide with the ‘White Cane Day’, observed worldwide on October 15 every year.
During the visit, the visually challenged and the accompanying academic staff from Braille Printing Press and ZHO toured the mall and interacted with the officials. The visit is part of Dalma Mall’s initiative to lend a supporting hand to the unprivileged sections of the society and building an inclusive and cohesive community that cares for the welfare of all sections.
The visiting delegation, led by Mariam Saif Al Qubaisi, head of the special needs department in ZHO, was received by Dalma Mall's management. The mall aims to further strengthen such outreach activities in the UAE as part of its concerted corporate social responsibility mandate.
Mohamed Al Mazrouei, Executive Director of Dalma Mall, said: “Dalma Mall believes that we are all a part of this society and we consider ourselves responsible for its development, care and well-being.
