The Department of Economic Development (DED) in Dubai has signed an agreement with the Emirates Environmental Group (EEG) to manage and recycle paper waste in DED branches. The initiative is part of DED’s corporate social responsibility and commitment to protecting the environment.
DED as a member of EEG will allocate special containers to collect recyclable paper materials and ensure that such paper does not have any left-over food, oil or plastic thermal coating. Paper cartons will be flattened before placing them in the containers to save space and make loading and transporting easier.

We at the EEG, applaud the Department of Economic Development in Dubai for fully embracing its environmental responsibility. With this we warmly welcome DED into the EEG family. The DED is renowned to be an active that seek to reduce their environmental footprint. It underscores their commitment to the sustainability vision of our leaders and demonstrates their support toward national sustainable development strategies.”
