Department of Municipal Affairs
As a part of enhancing cooperation with other government entities in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi and strengthening relations in the field of legislative issues for local projects and enterprises, a team from the Department of Municipal Affairs (DMA) held a meeting with officials at the Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ADCCI).
The meeting discussed future means of cooperation in legislation and regulations in different areas and projects which have common ground and cross benefits for both entities.
Furthermore the meeting emphasized on the impact of mutual cooperation between the DMA and ADCCI on services provided by both entities to the public and investors and business community, emphasizing on the fact that more cooperation in the process of studying and preparing decrees and legislative issues will support the business environment and attracts more investments to the Emirate and enhance the quality of services offered to citizens and investors.
The meeting also discussed the possibility of holding a joint seminar with the participation of the private sector and all concerned strategic partners to explore their ideas and know their exact needs during the process of studying and preparing legislative matters in order to achieve the best possible legislative results for all parties involved. Also the meeting discussed future cooperation in the field of research and strategic studies done by both entities to share the common information which will help in supporting the legislative process and reflects positively on services.
The DMA & ADCCI will sign in the coming period a Memorandum of Understanding to establish a mechanism enabling to enhance cooperation and achieve the strategic goals of both entities.
