Dubai Properties Group, master developer of world class destinations in Dubai including Business Bay, DUBAILAND, JBR and Culture Village, has announced its continued support of UAE-national employees through a University Sponsorship Program and ongoing training initiatives as part of its continued efforts to develop local talent.
DPG has had a long standing track record in human resource development with its established Corporate Academy program, created to promote the development of individuals through specialised skill-based learning. The initiative offers employees the chance to participate in workshops and training courses conducted and certified by RERA and INSEAD.
The Academy, launched last year and housed in DPG’s Lagoons Development Centre, is a dedicated facility that includes a number of training rooms, alongside meeting rooms, workshops and smaller rooms to further establish a learning-driven environment for all DPG staff. The programs are taught by a mixture of internal DPG experts and specialised external facilitators from accredited institutes across the UAE.
Commenting on the programs, Mr. Arif Mubarak, Chief Operations Officer of Dubai Properties Group said: “In order to create a sustainable future for the UAE, we feel it is vital to invest in our local talent by providing them with opportunities to enhance their educational and vocational paths. This is also in line with the Emirate’s vision to become a leading international city through its people.”
The University Sponsorship program is designed to encourage and assist DPG’s Emirati employees to develop their professional careers through continuing their higher education. Based on pre-set criteria for selection, seven employees have been chosen for sponsorship in 2014 to enrol in an accredited university of their choice in the UAE.
The professional programs selected by DPG’s staff this year are certified Post–Graduate degrees such as a Masters’ degree or an equivalent recognized degree to aid in their chosen career field from seven prestigious universities and colleges within the UAE, including Middlesex University Dubai, Cass Business School, American University in the Emirates, University of Dubai, and Canadian University of Dubai.
As part of the program, two Emarati Leadership members of the DPG staff have recently completed their leadership Development Program to enhance their competencies on Customer Centricity, Supply Chain Management, and Strategic HR and Leadership, receiving certificates of completion from INSEAD, one of the world’s leading universities.
