Dubai Properties Group, master developer of world class destinations of Dubai including Business Bay, DUBAILAND, JBR and Culture Village, today announced significant new projects and upgrades planned for The Walk at JBR. The plans, which include a new beachfront hotel, will further elevate The Walk at JBR’s status as a world class beachside destination.
The new 160 room hotel will add to the extensive hospitality options currently available at The Walk, with a variety of restaurants and entertainment and leisure facilities. A spectacular amphitheatre will also be built on the Ground Level of The Walk at JBR along with the new beachfront hotel.
Major upgrades will also be implemented to the landscaping of the area, turning it into a greener, and modern looking destination, additional private facilities will be created for residents and the whole retail experience will be upgraded by changing the overall look of the outlets.
Speaking about the announcement, Khalid Al Malik, Group CEO of Dubai Properties Group said: “With over 13 million visitors to The Walk last year alone, these new projects and upgrades will serve the growing demand from the tourism industry in Dubai, and will add to the charm of one of the region’s most popular destinations.”

DPG revealed the plans at Cityscape 2013 as part of its overall commitment to continuously upgrade its existing landmark destinations. The upgrades are designed to accommodate the expected increase in visitor numbers from the tourist and business traveler segment; helping to position the Emirate as a world class business hub and leading tourist destination.
The Walk at JBR is DPG’s beachside destination hosting thousands of visitors and tourists every day, and provides a vibrant community lifestyle to over 40,000 residents.
