du, the community-conscious UAE telecommunications company, is the Official Telecom Partner for the 3rd Annual Women in Leadership forum and Shamsa Bint Suhail Award for Creative Women. The two-day forum and award ceremony is being held from 23-24 November 2011 at the Emirates Palace in Abu Dhabi, and is organised by French business information group Naseba.
Committed to the community that it serves, du has an extensive Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programme, and is actively involved in diverse initiatives that aim at supporting talent in the UAE, as well as encouraging Emirati heritage and culture, and encouraging educational programme. Additionally, the telecom recognises the valuable role of women in the UAE’s business community.

In March 2011, du launched Her Business Super Plan for women entrepreneurs and professionals in the UAE, offering features tailored to meet the needs of the growing female business community. du also supported the Emirates Women Award 2011, by organising an an awareness workshop recognising female entrepreneurs and business leaders for their contribution in the country.

The Shamsa Bint Suhail Award for Creative Women, established by decree of His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, aims to support the efforts of Emirati women, recognising their creative talents and expertise. It also rewards those who have delivered an outstanding contribution in building and promoting their community.
