During the celebration of the 40th UAE National Day at Dubai Ladies Club
Last week, Dubai Ladies Club, a member of Dubai Women Establishment, celebrated the 40th UAE National Day by hosting a variety of exciting cultural events and activities inspired by the national spirit for children and adults.
One such event was a special Children’s Party at Dubai Ladies Club that welcomed over 75 children to the Club’s premises. Children dressed in traditional Emirati clothes and flag colours were cordially greeted by the Club’s management and teachers from Orange Tree Children’s Nursery to partake in various fun yet educational activities. The agenda for the day included arts & crafts, face painting, sing along and puppet shows. Moreover, every child also went home with a special goody bag prepared exclusively for the event by Patchi Chocolates.
On the same day, Dubai Ladies Club also invited ladies and gentlemen to an evening of poetry. Inspired by their common love of the UAE, two eminent poets residing in Dubai came together at Dubai Ladies Club for a special evening of poetry and recitation about the spirit of the nation. The poets were, Ali Saif Al Shaali, who is the Executive Director of Dubai International Poetry Festival and an esteemed poet in his own right and Ezzeddine Al Youssef, and both are award winning poets. The evening was presented by Rasha Matar.
As a women-only recreational facility, Dubai Ladies Club aims to contribute to the overall benefit of the society by participating in community related activities. Since its inception, Dubai Ladies Club has implemented several community programs which include children’s summer camps, regular social awareness campaign for the collective good of its stakeholders.
