Emaar Middle East is on course to setting a historic first for the organisation with the hand-over of its first homes in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia at Al Khobar Lakes.
A pioneering master-planned community, Al Khobar Lakes will hand over the first villas in phases at its Al Nada residential village shortly. The finishing touches to the homes and final landscaping works are currently being undertaken to offer a beautifully laid out community for the first residents.
Eng. Ahmad Al Kulli, General Manager of Emaar Middle East, said: “We are delighted to mark the hand-over of our first homes in the Kingdom shortly at Al Khobar Lakes. The residential villas have been designed and developed to world-class standards, and will serve as a referral point for modern residential projects.”
He added: “The progress on the villas at Al Khobar Lakes underlines the commitment of Emaar Middle East to offer superior lifestyle experiences for our customers. We will continue to develop our projects to meet the growing demand for quality homes in the Kingdom.”
With air-conditioning, internal plastering, electrical wiring, wood finishes for kitchens, bedroom and bathrooms, and painting of villas already completed, the final construction activities currently being undertaken on site include testing and commissioning of services and utilities.
All homes will be equipped with the latest communication technologies, smart home systems and advanced infrastructure networks. Construction of a mosque in the community has also commenced.
Al Khobar Lakes is a luxury lakefront development set on approximately 4.3 million sq m featuring serene water bodies. It features more than 2,000 private villas with retail and leisure amenities that are perfect for family living. In close proximity to Al Khobar City, Dhahran and Dammam, Al Khobar Lakes is one of the premier lakefront developments and the largest integrated community in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Having successfully launched the Al Nada and Al Ghadeer Villages, Al Khobar Lakes will eventually feature a large retail centre with a gross leasable area of 95,000 sq m; 104,000 sq m of landscaping, greenery and parks; 11 mosques including a Grand Mosque for Friday Prayers; two educational facilities for both boys and girls; a shopping centre, two community centres, healthcare facilities and other amenities.
Emaar Middle East is also developing Jeddah Gate, a mixed-use project spread over approximately half a million sq m of land in Jeddah's new downtown. The project will serve as a centrepoint for the city's new downtown. Jeddah Gate is in close proximity to the main railroad linking the two Holy Cities of Makkah and Madina to Jeddah.
Jeddah Gate, when completed, will have over 100,000 sq m of modern office spaces and over 30,000 sq m of gross leasable retail space, thus strengthening the local economy. Emaar Middle East had launched three residential buildings at Abraj Al Hilal in Jeddah Gate to strong customer and investor response, and work is progressing at a fast pace.
Another key project of Emaar Middle East is the Emaar Residences at the Fairmont Makkah, located on the Haram Plaza offering views of the Holy Kaaba and Haram. The 648 elegantly furnished and superbly serviced apartments are situated at the most upper floors of Makkah Clock Tower starting from the 30th floor and ending at the 53, and operated by Fairmont Hotels.
