EMGAS flies high with colourful balloon at UAE Ballooning Championship

Emirates Gas (EMGAS), a subsidiary of Emirates National Oil Company (ENOC), was one of the main sponsors of the first-ever UAE Ballooning Championship held over three days to also mark the 40^th UAE National Day celebrations. 

Organised the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammad bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Executive Council, the championship was supported by the Dubai Sports Council and the Government of Dubai. 

EMGAS made a distinct imprint with a colourful balloon that soared high in the skies, along with an array of hot air balloons that created a remarkable spectacle. Against the backdrop of some of Dubai’s iconic developments, the balloons attracted the attention of thousands of spectators. Other highlights of the event included night glow and release of skylamps at Meydan, which featured huge balloons with light bulbs and Chinese lanterns lighting up the city’s evening sky.
