Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, Dubai Trade, the premier trade facilitator under Dubai World is set to reward and recognise the trading community in Dubai that have achieved the highest online adoption rates at its 4th Annual E-Services Excellence Award (ESEA 2011), which will be held in January next year.
A record number of 49,000 companies who use Dubai Trade’s portal are in the race for the top honours, which will be awarded on the basis of the number of e-transactions carried out by the customers.
Launched in 2008, ESEA is the first of its kind in the region and have become a celebration and recognition of advancements made in e-transformation by the Middle East logistics industry. The annual gala award ceremony attracts top executives and decision makers from the region’s trade & logistics sectors, including logistics service providers, trading and manufacturing companies, as well as high level representatives from the government, financial institutions and Dubai World and its major business units.
Dubai Trade, in its role as the leading, innovative trade facilitator, will give away awards to best performers under eight categories, in addition to the special signature award to highest adopter of “Cargo Gate Pass” service.
The best performars will be judged on the basis of the extent to which they have adopted and maximised the use of e-services offered on Dubai Trade Portal. The award categories include: Exporter of the year, Importer of the year, Clearing Agent of the year, Free Zone company of the year, Frieghgt Forwarder of the year, Haulier of the year, Shipping Agent of the year – Containers and Shipping Agent - General Cargo.

By offering some of the most user friendly and efficient solutions, Dubai Trade has remarkably streamlined business flow and positively impacted cost effectiveness. Last year the Dubai Trade portal recorded over 11.4 million transactions with a 27% increase in registered users and 25.7% in total online transactions compared to the previous year.
