The Ministry of Finance (MoF) will be presenting its latest electronic services through its participation in GITEX Technology Week 2012 at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre from October 14-18. MoF’s annual participation in the exhibition falls within its commitment to keep up with the best technologies and international practices in the field of e-services.
During GITEX, MoF will be launching the Emirates Gate of GFS Reports and GCC Takamul System, along with offering new e-Dirham services - the second generation. In addition, MoF will present a package of other new electronic services for various partners and the UAE community, which will enhance its role in automated financial services.
Commenting on MoF’s participation, HE Younis Haji Al Khouri, Undersecretary of MoF, said: “MoF’s participation in GITEX Technology Week this year under the federal e-Government’s wing follows the UAE government’s policy that aims to unite the efforts of all Ministries and federal agencies in the areas of technical support and development.”
“The Ministry of Finance has always been the trendsetter of new technical and electronic initiatives that contribute to enhancing the level of productivity and the development of the financial work in the UAE and the region. Additionally, MoF’s previous involvements in this event over the past years included the launch of many projects and advanced electronic initiatives, which ensures the best exploitation of government financial resources,” HE Al Khouri added.
Among the most prominent electronic services that will be offered by the Ministry during the exhibition are the bank guarantee and ratifications systems that belong to the e-Dirham system-second generation in addition to the performance system, achievement system, along with the electronic archiving system, which is a distinct way to archive all MoF’s documents. The Ministry will also shed light on the main features and characteristics of the general budget preparation system and the federal financial system (Oracle), as well as the presentation of analytical reports, smart phone applications, my profile system and BI Intelligent Systems.
It should be noted that the first involvement of MoF in GITEX Technology Week was in 2004, which reflects its constant efforts to communicate with partners and the local community in order to familiarize and inform them about the latest developments on the procedures, laws and regulations of the new financial systems adopted by the Ministry.
