ALHOSN University, a leading Abu Dhabi-based university dedicated to high-quality, value-based education, recently welcomed Ben Simpfendorfer, the acclaimed author of the best-selling book ‘The New Silk Road,’ who signed two copies of his best-selling work in front of an audience composed of university faculty, guests, students, and staff.
H.H. Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan bin Khalifa Al Nahyan, Board Member of the Make-a-Wish Foundation of the UAE, graced ALHOSN University with his presence during the event. Simpfendorfer presented an autographed copy of ‘The New Silk Road’ – a book that closely examines the Middle East’s relations with China and has been published in five languages – to His Highness. The ALHOSN University Library received a special copy as well. H.E. Khalifa Mohamed Rubaya Al Muhairi, Chairman of the Board of Trustees at ALHOSN, and Prof. Abdul Rahim Sabouni, Vice Chancellor and CEO, were also among the attendees.
“We are honored by the presence of H.H. Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan bin Khalifa Al Nahyan and his gracious support for ALHOSN University’s activities as we recognize the exemplary work of Ben Simpfendorfer. There is much that we can learn from ‘The New Silk Road’ and the Middle East’s expanding global status amidst today’s rapidly evolving economic landscape. I encourage the ALHOSN community to read up on this important literature,” said H.E. Al Muhairi.
“Ben Simpfendorfer has advised many of the world’s largest financial investors and multinational enterprises on China’s economy. His book provides a ground-breaking analysis of the Middle East’s importance to the global economy and the true value of its relations with China and the rest of the world. We are honored to receive a personal copy of his works, which reflects our continuing efforts to instill ‘global knowledge with local vision’ in our students,” said Prof. Abdul Rahim Sabouni, Vice Chancellor and CEO, ALHOSN University.
