Huawei, a leading global information and communications technology (ICT) solutions provider, has announced its biggest presence ever at this year’s GITEX Technology Week previewing solutions that span across the company’s Carrier, Enterprise and Consumer Business Groups.
With contract sales across the Middle East last year totaling over USD $3.2 billion a 20% increase from the previous year—Huawei will be showcasing many of its latest products, solutions and consulting services that together underscore the company’s new “Cloud-Pipe-Device” strategy for evolving into a complete end-to-end ICT solutions provider.
According to Mr. Yi Xiang, President of Huawei Middle East, much of the spotlight at this year’s GITEX will concentrate on the results of the company’s increased investments in global research & development which expanded by nearly 35% last year with an emphasis in the fields of cloud computing, network security, and handset technologies.
“To adapt to the revolutionary changes that are taking place in the information industry, Huawei has made a number of strategic adjustments to better serve its regional customers through our Cloud-Pipe-Device approach,” notes Xiang. “Laying a strong foundation for sustainable business development, the Middle East is an exciting market for Huawei today as ICT is widely recognized as a key driver for socio-economic development. Huawei’s Carrier business will have an extensive range of technologies on display as well as dedicated sessions focusing on the company’s most recent telecom deployments in the fields of 4G LTE and national broadband. Spanning across wireless, core networks, applications & software, fixed networks, Huawei will place particular emphasis on its regional business & managed services offerings, which over the last year have become an increasingly important segment of the company’s telecom Carrier portfolio.
Huawei’s Enterprise business group also has a busy week planned at GITEX with new partners and customers set to join its channel partner and customer communities, as well as an array of new products and solutions being launched at the show. This year will hold a particular focus on cloud applications and the different applications of cloud computing in a variety of industry scenarios. This will be supplemented by the launch of research conducted by Huawei into the green advantages of cloud computing, with attainable power consumption reductions of 20%.
On the device front, Huawei’s emerging Consumer business will also be actively involved at this year’s GITEX with a number of its globally-acclaimed smartphones, tablets and mobile WiFi devices on hand for visitors to experience with Huawei product developers. The company has also confirmed that it will be revealing at GITEX further details of its upcoming line of quad-core consumer products, which are expected to be launched this fall in select markets across the Middle East.
At GITEX, Huawei’s primary display stand is located in the Gulf Comms area, Za’abeel Hall, Stand-E13. Huawei will also be in the Cloud area, Hall 6, Stand CLD4 to showcase its comprehensive portfolio of ICT solutions.
