Huawei, a leading global information and communications technology (ICT) solutions provider, has announced the launch of its first Global Network Evolution & Experience Center (GNEEC). The GNEEC is specifically designed and developed to manage the challenges that telecom operators encounter during the network evolution process.
The GNEEC helps operators select the optimum network evolution solution that will meet the increasing demands of subscribers while minimizing financial risks and generating a higher return on investment. Based on typical network evolution scenarios, the Huawei GNEEC can achieve predictable results, verifiable solutions, manageable processes and an assured service.
“The GNEEC will help our customers to realize their business strategy efficiently,” says Lianghua, President of GTS Business Unit, Huawei.
The announcement follows a number of strategic investments Huawei has made in the research field including its first Middle East IT Competence Center located in Bahrain and a new Joint Innovation Center in Kuwait.
This first Huawei GNEEC is located in Beijing, China, covering an area of 1,500 square meters and is equipped with an array of multi-generation E2E network systems with more than 200 sets of equipment supplied by eight mainstream vendors with specialisms in all domains of the network infrastructure. Multi-vendor interoperability tests can be performed on over 30 kinds of network evolution plans, while independent testing and professional services areas can be configured to ensure that the GNEEC can simulate and support all the major network evolution processes deployed in today’s global markets.
The Huawei GNEEC has generated a significant high level interest in the telecommunications industry with more than 90 CXOs having toured this new facility. From a practical perspective the GNEEC has already helped more than 12 operators to successfully test and verify their network evolution plans.
