Huawei, a leading global information and communications technology (ICT) solutions provider, capped off one of the year’s most prominent technology forums by taking home achievement awards for “Best Voice Over LTE Solution Launch” and “Most Innovative Service Launch Enabled by IMS” during this year’s IMS World Forum 2012.
Hosted by global analyst and exhibitions company Informa, the forum is the largest global event showcasing Integrated Management System (IMS) technology featuring over 200 attendees including operators, app developers and hardware vendors.
Huawei’s Convergent Conference solution, which was honored as the most innovative service enabled by IMS, allows services like audio conference, web conference and video conference to be accessible from any access network using any terminal including High Definition end-points and Telepresence rooms. Based on IMS, Huawei Convergent Conference natively interworks with legacy communication networks such as PSTN, voice over broadband, 2G, 3G and LTE networks. With Huawei leading video processing technologies, the bandwidth consumption can be saved up to 50% without compromising the experience which improves the service coverage significantly.
By the end of Q1 2012, Huawei had deployed more than 60 Convergent Conference solutions for both commercial and trial purposes globally.
Huawei’s Voice Over LTE solution helps operators transform their current mobile network by smoothly evolving their services and technologies towards the LTE domain, with more than 10 operators worldwide having deployed voice over LTE trial networks using Huawei VoLTE solution.
The two awards issued by the IMS World Forum constitute a strong recognition from the industry’s leading operators, analysts and media of Huawei’s innovation in the IMS space.
Within the Middle East, Huawei has over a decade of experience in providing customized communication solutions to the region’s top enterprises and telecom operators, distinguished on numerous occasions including the recent honor of “Middle East Vendor of the Year” during the CommsMEA Awards.
