Optimus Technology and Telecommunications, a leading regional Value Added Distributor (VAD) of IT and telecommunications products, today announced that it has signed a value added distribution (VAD) agreement with Huawei to promote and distribute the company’s enterprise product range for networking, unified communications (UC) and security through its solid channel network. According to the terms of the agreement, Optimus will expand Huawei’s channel network across the GCC region, Pakistan, Afghanistan and Iraq and conduct regular marketing and channel development activities to help increase the vendor’s market share and reach in the region.

Huawei’s enterprise products include solutions for data centres, cloud computing, enterprise networking and wireless, as well as Unified Communication & Collaboration (UC&C), video conference and telepresence solutions. Optimus will promote this product range through focused channel development activities, which include training, certifications, skills development and consultancy services to help them sell the solutions better.
Optimus will also offer value-added services such as marketing and pre and post sales support through Optimus 360 and will train partners to enhance their service capabilities and address customer requirements appropriately through its training arm – Optimus Academy. The distributor will offer an entire host of capacity building services through Optimus Primero, its marketing as a service offering, to enable its channel partners to position and sell Huawei’s products efficiently and effectively.
