Injazat Data Systems has announced that it has been re-certified, with an enlarged scope compared to previous certifications, for two major IT benchmarks under the ISO, the international standard-setting body. The company has once again proven its remarkable ability to meet the stringent requirements for both ISO/IEC 20000:2011, the latest form of the first international standard for IT service management, and ISO/IEC 27001:2005, an information security management system standard.
ISO/IEC 20000:2011 is a Service Management System (SMS) standard co-developed by the ISO and the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC). It establishes quality requirements for service providers to plan, establish, implement, operate, monitor, review, maintain and improve an SMS. It enables IT organizations to ensure that their IT service management processes are aligned with both the needs of the business and with international best practices. Injazat has obtained recertification for this standard on an extended scope covering all of its leveraged services provided within the UAE, demonstrating its capabilities and full commitment, as a service provider, to superior service management and service quality, with the ultimate goal of enhancing business values and improving customer satisfaction.
ISO/IEC 27001:2005 is another collaborative work of the ISO and the IEC. Designed for all types of organizations – may they be commercial enterprises, government agencies, or not-for profit organizations, among others – the standard ensures that the right and adequate security controls are in place to protect critical information assets and give confidence to all key stakeholders. It covers a total of 11 domains by formally mandating a management system that brings information security under explicit management control. Re-certification for this standard is a hard-earned achievement which reflects Injazat’s highly mature Information Security practices best embodied by its management of the Injazat Tier IV Data Center, the first design-certified facility of its kind in the Middle East.
“ISO certification is very important milestone for us because it validates the stringent quality control measures we adhere to throughout all our leveraged services and confirms that Injazat ranks at par with, or even better than, global benchmarks. This also highlights our ability to maintain our industry leadership and keep our commitment to quality and excellence to our valued customers. We thank all the team members involved for helping us achieve these re-certifications and, once again, raise the bar for IT services in the UAE and across the region,” said Antonio Antonuccio, Chief Operating Officer, Injazat Data Systems.
