Jaguar has announced the highly anticipated Jaguar Style Stakes will take place for the sixth consecutive year at Dubai World Cup on March 26th at Meydan Racecourse. Recognizing fashion as an integral centrepiece of the racing culture, Jaguar continues to raise the bar for Dubai’s elite with a platform celebrating true creativity, design talent and originality.
Going beyond the boundaries of a typical sponsorship and using its iconic Jaguar design credentials, the luxury car manufacturer will come together with a refreshed 2016 expert panel of Jaguar Style Stakes judges to decide who will be the ‘Best Dressed Lady’ and who will make the cut for a number of accolades including ‘Most Creative Hat’, ‘Best Dressed Man’ and ‘Best Dressed Couple’.
Coming back for a third year in a row to crown some of Dubai’s fashion elite, Saudi founder of design label ‘Lady Fozaza’, AlAnoud Badr, will be part of the judging panel once again bringing her enviable style credentials to the table. The renowned blogger, stylist and fashion consultant has become synonymous with Dubai and the region’s fashion scene in recent years. Al Anoud will bring her edgy flair to the event whilst on the look-out for individual style and retro chic from ‘Best-Dressed’ hopefuls.
New judges announced for this year will include Kim Fletcher, Melbourne based milliner whose handmade creations have been showcased in Australia, England, Singapore, Germany and Dubai. With her own personal eclectic style, Kim is curious to see how both women and men at the Dubai World Cup interpret race wear in such a multi-cultural city. Quirky pieces that make someone’s outfits their own are what will grab her attention at this year’s competition.
Jaguar has also proudly welcomed Kate Hazell, Fashion Director at Esquire Middle East, to the panel. Working with one of the region’s leading men’s lifestyle magazines, Kate is an established British fashion director, journalist, and stylist who has worked in the industry for over 10 years. Well versed in the world of men’s fashion, Kate knows her way around Windsor and Ascot knots. Creating her own signature style along the way, Kate is known for her sharp tailoring blended with soft feminine silhouettes to achieve that effortlessly cool look. She will be keeping her eyes peeled for the Middle East’s most dapper gentlemen this year.
Press Media Relations and Social Media Manager, Salman Sultan, who will also be joining the Jaguar Style Stakes judging panel said: “Jaguar is a brand that celebrates artistry, passion, design, craftsmanship and ingenuity and we are thrilled to see our sponsorship at the Dubai World Cup continue to evolve to embody these traits. The Jaguar Style Stakes has seen some of Dubai’s best dressed and most captivating racegoers compete year on year and I look forward to working alongside some of the industry’s most-well respected fashion connoisseurs for the sixth leg of this competition.”
Jaguar Style Stakes award categories include ‘Best Dressed Lady’ (winner and runner-up), ‘Best Hat’, ‘Best Dressed Man’, ‘Best Dressed Couple’ and ‘Most Creative Hat’. The category for ‘Most Elegant Lady’, sponsored by Longines, will be selected by a team of style-spotters as racing guests arrive on the day.
The Jaguar Style Stakes Arena will be located in the Apron Views area of Meydan Racecourse on 26th March, 2016.
