Jordan’s former Prime Minister, Dr. Abdul Salam Majali, will deliver a speech on leadership in higher education at ALHOSN University’s American Corner today Tuesday, October 4^th, 2011 from 5 to 6 pm. Dr. Majali will also answer questions from the audience and subsequently be treated to a reception in his honor.

Dr. Majali is currently visiting Abu Dhabi as the keynote speaker for the Annual Conference on Education being organized by the Emirates Center for Strategic Studies and Research from October 3 to 4, 2011. Aside from being Jordan’s past PM, Dr. Majali also served as President of the University of Jordan, Minister of Education, President of the Higher Council of Higher Education, Minister of Health, and Prime Minister of Jordan. He also spearheaded the establishment of a unique leadership academy in Jordan in cooperation with the United Nations University.

“It is a privilege to learn from the vast experience of Dr. Majali in the education field. His wisdom will definitely be a source of inspiration and guidance to our faculty and staff as they provide global learning with local vision to our students. We thank His Excellency for accepting our invitation and very much look forward to his long-awaited visit to our campus,” said Prof. Abdul Rahim Sabouni, Vice Chancellor and CEO, ALHOSN University.

Named after Abu Dhabi’s historic ALHOSN Palace, ALHOSN University was founded in 2005 by the Abu Dhabi Holding Company in response to growing local demand for high-quality, value-based educational institutions. It currently offers 11 undergraduate and 7 graduate programs under the Faculties of Engineering and Applies Sciences, Business, and Arts and Social Sciences. ALHOSN admits students of all nationalities and also accommodates youths with special needs. All its programs are accredited by the UAE Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.

I would like to know the authentic preurdcoe for applying jobs in Dubai / Abu Dhabi ! I am an MBA in Intl. Business (Marketing) holding one year experience with Emami Limited, India. Joined as a management trainee and later on got promoted to Asst. Country Manager looking after Business Development and Intl Marketing for Emami products in Gulf region. Presently employed with NSI India Ltd. (Iron Steel sector) as an Asst. Manager Intl Marketing looking after Europe USA markets. Considering the glamour and humor attached with Cosmetics / FMCG sector I am more inclined to make my mark in the same sector. Although I am yet to stabilize with my present sector, but I am very much eager to get employed with FMCG company(s), particularly in Gulf region (Dubai). Hence, I shall be grateful to you if you can let me know the best way and appropriate consultants either in India / Gulf who can sincerely assist me in geting placed in cosmetic /fmcg /fmcd companies in gulf? Eager to work abroad.
