Jordan Ahli Bank is pleased to announce its support of the 5th Annual Haretna Festival as a Gold Sponsor. The festival - organized by the Ahliyyah School for Girls, Bishop’s School for Boys, and the Jabal Amman Residents Association (JARA) - seeks to bring the local community and visitors together for an enjoyable blend of special events, performances, and displays of handmade crafts.
Attendance at the festival was high, with Ziad Saleh and Rose Alwer – two popular local musicians – giving live performances during the festival. Events throughout the festival included Christmas tree decoration and lighting, the appearance of characters from the popular children’s program Sesame Street, and performances by Amman’s National Folklore Group. The festival also featured numerous displays of handmade crafts and the participation of many coffee shops and restaurants that the area is well known for.
Jordan Ahli Bank takes great pride in supporting worthy local events and institutions, and according to a recent study conducted by the Basar Center, Ahli Bank is ranked first among Jordanian financial institutions in the field of corporate social responsibility (CSR). The study showed that in monetary terms, contributions from Ahli Bank to CSR-related activities represented 25% of that given by Jordan’s entire financial industry. Ahli Bank focuses its CSR work on event and conference sponsorship, community and educational development, as well as health initiatives and programs for children.
