Officials from Al Majid Motors Company and Kia Motors Middle East & Africa Regional Head Quarter convene during their visit to the Dubai Ice Rink

Al Majid Motors Co., the sole distributor of Kia Motors in the UAE, is building on its strategic relationship with Emaar Retail LLC, the premium provider of leisure and entertainment, in a deal that sees the fastest growing automotive brand in the world return to the Olympic-size Dubai Ice Rink at the world’s largest shopping and entertainment destination, The Dubai Mall.
Kia Motors took to the rink last year as the main sponsor for The Dubai Mall ‘Football Mania 2012’ that saw the Euro 2012 Championship displayed on the biggest telecast in the nation. Coming back with even more force, Kia is bringing its premium model – Kia Quoris – to the most sought after destination in Dubai amongst residents and tourists alike. The complex is the ideal venue to further boost Kia’s brand perception, and to further connect with brand enthusiasts.
Kia’s ‘Power to Surprise’ continues to be evident with the brand’s monumental climb on the world stage and in the region with the introduction of model upgrades that bring striking design with more features and more functionality. The all-new Kia Quoris specifically invites customers to experience ‘New Luxury’ through Kia, and represents the flagship model under its new premium class.
Making good on that promise so far, 2012 saw the brand once again topple the previous year’s best-ever global sales record by delivering 2.72 million vehicles. Beyond numbers, Kia has also experienced dramatic qualitative improvement to the brand. Kia Motors entered the ranks of the world’s top 100 global brands according to Interbrand’s Top 100 Best Global Brands list, debuting in 87thplace with an estimated brand value of US$4.1 billion.
In 2013, Al Majid Motors endeavours to increase its market share in the UAE after announcing an 8 per cent growth in sales in the first quarter of the year. The target is set at roughly 16,000 vehicles and an increased market share of 6 per cent.

Delving into the particulars, the deal will see Kia take to the ice at Dubai Ice Rink, at centre stage, as mall goers skate around the Kia Quoris. Additionally, Kia will stand in line at Reel Cinemas and go inside Dubai Aquarium and Underwater Zoo.
