Kia Amateur Australian Open
National Arab Motors (Kia Jordan), in collaboration with the Jordanian Tennis Federation, recently concluded the Kia Amateur Australian Open at the Royal Automobile Club of Jordan. The tournament took place from October 13th till 15th.
The finals were attended by VIPs and fans, including the Minister-Counselor of the Embassy of the Republic of Korea H.E Roh Jae-young, Mr. Samer Tayeh, the President of the National Arab Motors (Kia Jordan), in addition to representatives of the JTA and a variety of tennis enthusiasts.
Tayeh explained that Kia Jordan is committed to organizing and supporting initiatives that promote athletic awareness and physical fitness, saying, “We are happy with the impressive turnout the tournament has enjoyed this year and in previous years. This has allowed countless players to discover their inner capabilities in the game and to reinforce their existing strengths by competing in this internationally acclaimed event.”
Tareq Talal and Anna Abu Al Haj - the winners of the Male & Female categories respectively - will be qualified to participate in the World Final Kia Amateur Australian Open (KAAO) and attend the finals of the Australian Open in Melbourne, Australia.
The Kia Amateur Australian Open tournament 2011 is sponsored by City Mall, Go Magazine, Play 99.6, Ultra Water and BCI the official distributor for Samsung Mobiles in Jordan.
The KAAO will present Jordanian tennis players with the opportunity to compete on an international scale. The players will also benefit from attending the finals of the Australian open from the sideline, which is one of the most celebrated global events in the tennis landscape.
Kia Motors Corporation is the official sponsor of the Australian Open for the 10th year in a row, a streak it intends to maintain until the year 2013. The company has appointed the internationally acclaimed tennis player Rafael Nadal as its ambassador to the tennis community.
