LG Lightwave Charcoal Oven
Meals can now be prepared in a third of the time of a traditional convection oven, thanks to LG’s Charcoal Lightwave Oven. The innovative appliance, which was recently showcased and tested to its limits during LG’s ‘Life Tastes Good Championship’ at the One and Only Royal Mirage in Dubai, takes cooking to the next level of innovation, with a range of unique features to complement any cooking experience.
Renowned UAE Nutritionist Kiram El Tbayli, from VLCC, who was part of the judging panel during the Life Tastes Good Championship, said: “With the ‘fast-food’ society that continues to grow in the UAE, grabbing that cheap, quick and easy snack on the way home from work is all too tempting. But one needs to cook a healthy and world-class meal from their home, in much less time than a traditional oven.”
When describing her experience of using the Charcoal Lightwave Oven, first place winner of the Life Tastes Good Championship, Mrs. Sheelu John, said: “It was a pleasure using the Lightwave Oven. I was able to prepare a tasty and winning dish using the oven’s wide range of features to ensure the chicken was tender on the outside and juicy on the inside, while it was evenly cooked throughout.”
Mr. D.Y. Kim, President of LG Electronics Gulf FZE, said: “On first glance, it may appear to resemble a microwave oven, but it outperforms both microwave and convectional ovens through its advanced technology. In addition to preparing meals which are more nutritious and healthy, the Lightwave oven also saves on energy, making them much more efficient than traditional home appliances.”
The Charcoal Lighting Heater, underpinned by LG’s proprietary Lightwave technology, uses a charcoal filament to maintain a natural flow of heat that penetrates deep into dishes, creating the crispy-on-the-outside, juicy-on-the-inside results that make mouths water. Using the Lightwave Oven reduces unnecessary salt and fat in dishes, while sealing in vitamin C and other nutrients to create healthier meals. LG’s Lightwave Oven also helps to lower energy consumption by making the cooking process more efficient.
