Masafi supports Al Khaleej Women's Association gala event
Masafi Select Basmati Rice – the finest quality Basmati offering an authentic aroma, taste and pure goodness – took the centre stage at the annual gala ceremony of Al Khaleej Friends Women’s Association, held at India Club in Dubai on October 13, 2012.
Nearly 120 people, including UAE nationals, took part in the fun-filled event, organized by the association to celebrate Eid Al Adha and Diwali. Dr Zulekha Daud, Managing Director of Zulekha Healthcare Group, and other prominent personalities attended the ceremony.
The activities during the gala event included a cooking competition using Masafi Select Basmati Rice. Winners were chosen on the basis of their expertise in using the rice, and bringing out its taste, aroma and the overall presentation.
Nikhil Desai, Category Marketing Manager at Masafi, said: “With its characteristic quality, hygienic packaging and sublime taste, Masafi Select Basmati Rice has delighted gourmets and food connoisseurs across the region since its launch last year. The gala event of Al Khaleej Friends Women’s Association was no different. Our support and sponsorship of the event was in line with our customer focus, which is at the heart of all our endeavours.”
A rare gift of nature, Masafi Basmati Rice is sourced directly from the foothills of the snow-clad Himalayan mountain range in India. It is 99 per cent fat free, cholesterol free, gluten free, salt free and offers high nutritional content, making it the ideal choice for mothers with their family’s nutritional interests at heart.
The gala event also emphasized the key attributes of Masafi Select Basmati – smooth, pearl, extra fine and extra long. The average grain length of Masafi rice is 8.34mm, compared to other Basmati rice which averages around 7mm.
