Memac Ogilvy celebrates unprecedented victory at the 41st edition of The One Show in New York. Ramzi Moutran, Creative Director Memac Ogilvy Dubai topped the global list, being named Number One Creative Director Internationally. This success was sweetened further as Memac Ogilvy was ranked Number Three within the advertising category as well as Number Thirteen overall.
The One Show is one of the most prestigious competitions in the world, celebrating the very best in advertising, design, interactive, branded entertainment and intellectual property & products. For the first time in the event’s history, finalists were not only awarded gold, silver and bronze Pencils but were also ranked across four creative categories.
Ramzi Moutran shared the limelight with fellow Dubai based talent Ben Knight, Creative Director OgilvyAction, who joined him in the Top Ten Creative Directors list. Cementing his reputation as a leader within the industry, Ramzi Moutran was the most awarded Creative Director of the evening and was recognised for his inspirational work on UNWomen - Autocomplete Truth and Sawa Mninjah – Rescue Radio.

Within the advertising category Memac Ogilvy ranked third receiving 6 Pencils, 8 Merits for 2 campaigns, UNWomen - Autocomplete Truth and Sawa Mninjah – Rescue Radio. The agency also celebrated a tremendous feat, ranking thirteen globally from a pool of 463 agencies across 63 countries.
In the face of 21,300 submissions from 63 countries, Ogilvy & Mather won 57 gold, silver and bronze Pencils, out of a total 374 pencils awarded at The One Show 2014.
This achievement follows a triumphant evening at this year’s Dubai Lynx Awards where Memac Ogilvy took home 46 awards throughout the night, including Network of the Year, Agency of the Year for Dubai Office. Further to this, the agency scooped 2 Grand Prix, 14 Gold, 23 Silver and 7 Bronze awards on top of the 72 shortlists and saw Edmond Moutran receive the prestigious Dubai Lynx Advertising Person 2014 Award.
