The Municipal Services General Committee in the Municipal System in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi started procedures of unifying the services provided by the Municipal System to the residents, investors and visitors of the Emirate.
In a meeting attended by heads of service divisions in the Department of Municipal Affairs (DMA) and the Emirate’s Municipalities; Abu Dhabi, Al Ain, and Western Region, the Municipal Services General Committee commenced a working plan towards unifying Municipal Services provided to the residents, where a specialized working team had started working on defining the services to be unified taking into consideration the importance, efficiency, performance, and quality of services. The unification process will include the revision of titles and implementation procedures of these services.
An operational and collateral framework had been initiated to unify policies and strategies related to the municipal services. The framework consists of certain procedures and activities to be implemented towards achieving the unification process, among these are The establishment of an internal project within the municipal system to unify services and procedures and performance indicators, and activating the single window service and a single Municipal E-services data base which will improve the quality of services and make life easier for customers.
It is worth mentioning that the unification process of municipal services, comes as a part of a broader unification strategy which will enable the Municipal System to provide full and comprehensive quality services to the residents of the Emirate, and will help to ensure the realization of the Abu Dhabi 2030 vision which aims for the government of Abu Dhabi to become one of the best governments in the world in terms of services provided to the citizens.
