Xerox, the leading enterprise for business process and document management, launches the fifth qualifying round of the Xerox Corporate Golf Challenge at the Muscat Hills Golf Course in Oman on Friday 3rd February 2012. The fifth qualifying round will host over 80 players and 40 teams where the winners of the qualifying rounds will participate in the Grand Finale with the opportunity to attend the 2012 British Open Championship taking place in Royal Lytham & St Annes on the 19th – 22nd of July 2012.
The 14th Xerox Corporate Golf Challenge has received an increase in number of supporter and sponsors this year. Managed by Troon Golf, Avis Rent a Car and ABB are the main sponsors of the event and have been strong supporters since 2010. Park Hyatt Abu Dhabi Hotel and Villas are this year’s main hotel sponsors as well as ECCO who are co-sponsors of the Golf Challenge. Additionally ECCO has supported the tournament in the past with events including ‘The Longest Drive and Nearest the Pin’; Crystal Gallery will be the Official Trophy Sponsor of the tournament, with media sponsors being Khaleej Times with the new addition of Golf Digest.
With teams collaborating from all over the Middle East for the 14th Annual Xerox Corporate Golf Challenge this year is proving to be the most diverse tournament as of yet, branching into new districts throughout the Levant Region such as Oman and Saudi Aramco. Each of the previous qualifying rounds have displayed an increasing number of interested participants, all of whom are eager to win the grand prize.
