The new free Wi-Fi ‘Piggybacking’ service from Nawras has been honoured with two awards at the 2013 Global Cristal Awards, part of the 13th annual Cristal Festival held recently in the French ski resort of Courchevel. Nawras struck gold in the highly coveted ‘Future is Now’ category and won bronze in the ‘Media’ section as the ‘Piggybacking’ campaign was rewarded for the best use of mobile technology.
Usama Al Saifi, Nawras Senior Campaign Supervisor, said, “Nawras is offering customers with a free wireless solution to help them stay connected. We understand that customers will try to find an open Wi-Fi connection wherever they are and we have introduced multiple connections to share existing wireless services to provide a free service. This is part of offering creative communications in the Sultanate and we hope that customers enjoy the service.”
He added, “To create a campaign that perfectly illustrates just how simple the new service is, we partnered with Leo Burnett Worldwide and highlighted the customer focus with which every Nawras product is designed. These awards highlight creativity and artistry that goes into every aspect of our service and our commitment to communicate effectively and honestly with our customers.”
Nawras Piggybacking allows customers to connect to a free WiFi network by providing additional open signals from each modem to create a hotspot. Customers can connect to the free WiFi network by selecting ‘NawrasWiFi’, found at the top of the available networks list, and logging in to the service to enjoy fast broadband from Nawras for free.
In total, the ‘Piggybacking’ service from Nawras has received seven different regional and international awards in 2013 and is one of the most recognised pieces of work in the global telecommunications industry this year.
