During the Nawras Beach Football Tournament
It was a day of intense competition and great sportsmanship, as the third annual Nawras Beach Football tournament kicked off in Sur. This first day of action saw 64 teams narrowed down to 16, who will advance to the finals in Muscat on 29 March.
Said Safrar, Chief Customer Experience Officer said, “This is turning out to be a great tournament full of amazing goals and spectacular skill shown by lots of the players – it’s great to see such talent and enthusiasm for the game in Oman. Our congratulations go to the winners of day one and of course we wish them luck on finals day. Every player deserves great credit for making this a memorable competition so far.”
There were other activities to keep spectators and their families entertained: DJs playing live music, 2 bouncy-castles for the kids, a soccer shooter, and an MC providing updates on the latest scores and team performances.
The winning three teams will receive exciting monetary prizes. The highest scoring player will also be rewarded with an individual prize.
