Beach Football Tournament
After two days of intense competition and great sportsmanship, the second Nawras Beach Football tournament came to a close withSayma Skyemerging victorious. Nawras CEO, Ross Cormack congratulated the delighted winners and presented them with the first prize trophy and cheque. Over the weekend, 64 teams took part in the tournament as crowds gathered on Shatti Al Qurum beach to enjoy the high speed football action and excitement ina two day festival ofsporting entertainment.
Anwar Salim Al Habsi, Nawras Events & Sponsorship Specialist, said, “This has been an incredible tournament full of great goals and spectacular skills. The thrilling final was a fitting way to complete the event. Our congratulations go to the winners andevery player who has taken part. After the fiercely contested final, team Al Jissar were named runners up withAl Hilal finishing third.Fayadh Al Salmiachieved the title of top scorer having put the ball into the back of the net five times.The event drew hundreds of spectators whoenjoyed the football action and entertainment including a traditional Omani musical performance.
